Growing up, living and working between the East and the West, I have always been fascinated by parallel lives that, on the surface, seem worlds apart. Could it be possible to bridge these two cultures?

Language is the most powerful means of communication we have – but only if it is used well. Each language has its own tics. The differences between Chinese and English language may be obvious in that the character sets are uncomparible, but the structure of the language, the grammar, vocabulary and even the spacing and layout leave people with different impressions.

With a passion for both languages, I hope to contribute stories about the fascinating cultural changes in China, as well as my inevitable experience in ‘becoming English’ by virtue of living here in the UK.
